After a career in photography and film for fashion brands, Yuro Moniz decided to return to her essence in 2019. In her studio in Rotterdam,
Yuro creates ceramics from stoneware clay in a purely traditional way.
By learning the craft from teachers in South Korea, Japan and Morocco, Yuro incorporates her teachings into intuitively handmade vases, purposely going against modern technologies
to stay true to human craft. Her work has given her an international reputation, allowing her to be featured at Salone Del Mobile in Milan and the Van Gogh Museum, among others.
